School Meals

All Infant aged children are entitled to receive a school meal free of charge under the Governments "Universal Infant Free School Meals" (UIFSM) programme, with no registration required.

Alternatively you may provide a packed lunch for your child.

We use HC3S as our school caterer:-

With over 30 years of school catering experience, our successful ethos is to provide healthy, local, responsible sourced food that children love. Our tasty, freshly cooked, nutritious dishes help your children flourish and reach their potential. As part of a balanced diet, our lunches provide a third of a child’s daily calorie intake, to aid concentration levels and give them energy to focus and to play.

We know that providing award winning meals isn’t enough and so, at HC3S we go that step further, by helping schools and the wider community to encourage children, parents, carers to live healthy lifestyles and think sustainably.

That’s why both our ‘Ready Steady Cook’ and healthy eating/lunchbox sessions, the later in collaboration we Public Health England, are fun, engaging and available in your area. Our added value ‘Food to Flourish Classroom’ resources help teachers educate children in an innovative, food related fashion that cuts across the curriculum.

Special Diets

HC3S has a dedicated special diet team that supports parents with special diet queries for their child. They create menus for children who are registered with HC3S as having a food allergy or intolerance and who want to have a school meal. Whilst we want all children to enjoy eating lunch at school, special diets are not provided for pupils who have a dislike of certain food. That’s why we require medical evidence that confirms your child’s medical allergy or intolerance. We then work with a dietician to produce specific diets to ensure food is suitable. Products used in these diets are never substituted.

If your child requires a special diet, (For example if they have a medically diagnosed food allergy), you will need to register this online via HC3s Special Diet Registration system by creating an account with them using the link on their dedicated Special Diets page.
